We are headquartered in Amsterdam and we have more than 1300 talented people of 55 nationalities working in 25 offices around Europe, with very diverse and multi-ethnic backgrounds. For our Poker Group at Azerion headquarters in Amsterdam we are looking for a Communications Manager.

About the team

The Marketing and Communication team is small in size and very agile in grabbing opportunities and working on fun ideas due to the use of Scrum. You will have input and responsibilities and work together with professionals. The Poker Group focuses on multiplayer and cross-platform online poker games such as Governor of Poker, Monopoly Poker and others.

We work in an international, young and dynamic team on the biggest Dutch Mobile game ever made. Working on a big multiplayer game that’s being played by millions across many different platforms is challenging but fun work! Every improvement can have a huge effect. Besides working together, we are friends, have fun and try to hang out outside work as well. You will have a lot of freedom within the team to learn and create opportunities for yourself and others. 

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the communication in and around the game. For example new activities in the game, updates, social media, faq, newsletters, push notifications and in-game text.
  • Manage translations process for in-game content and communication outside the game
  • Request assets for communication in the game (announcements, pop-ups) and outside the game (newsletters, push notifications, social media).
  • Weekly plan, set up, and participate in Live Streams. 
  • Align with LiveOps on what will happen in the upcoming weeks and check if there is need for any communication or translations.
  • Sync with your team to learn what’s happening in the game, the player’s discussions, complaints, suggestions, and bugs.
  • Responsible for communication performance. 
  • Weekly sync with support manager and agents to check what’s coming up in the game, if communication is needed, if any features are being released, and discuss what happened last week and how it impacted support.
  • Work closely with Partners for special promotional campaigns.
  • Check how the performance is going daily to see if any push is needed on the communication side 
  • Set up and change the (Onboarding) newsletters and push notifications depending on performance/strategy
  • Plan retention activities, for example emailing inactive players
  • Sync with stakeholders to check how the communication is going, what developers are working on, what features are coming up, what the focus should be on, share any strategies on social media/communication, etc.

 

What you are able to bring to the table

  • Bachelor in Marketing/Communication is not needed but we do ask: Proven experience in marketing/communications in the gaming industry, preferred
  • Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with internal peers (LiveOps, Support Agents, Developers)
  • Detail-oriented and highly efficient both autonomously and with a team
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
  • You like an informal but professional atmosphere
  • Comfortable in front of the camera
  • Proactive attitude
